The only piece of New Orleans Guas takes to this restaurant is the name, Neutral Ground, which holds a deep significance in his native city. After the Louisiana Purchase, Americans, of all races and religions, would come together as a unified community at a neutral green area between streets, which in effect is a linear park – adding a pastoral distinction to the charming neighborhoods.

These characteristics will be reflected, not only in the philosophy of the restaurant, but also in the interior – a tranquil, spacious dining room that is meant to feel like a shared, comfortable space with a fresh, coastal flair. The restaurant’s name is displayed in a simple and elegant fashion alongside a large, naturally colored wooden door with an iron handle, creating intrigue for what lies behind. A wonderful surprise awaits. The host area beckons guests forth with a cluster of cascading basket weave pendant lights and a green lacquered desk, lending a chic touch.  Enhancing the ambiance are multiple colorful and cheerful backdrops - wallcoverings that define a sense of place: saw palmetto leaves in light and dark grassy greens greet guests at the entrance; colorful pink, tan, and orange vintage style design of swaying palm trees grace the private eight-person dining space; and joyful tropical jungle accents in greens, blues, pinks, and peachy orange brighten the bar area. Above are decorative floating, rattan textured shades, transforming the industrial ceiling into an art form. Warm whites, sandy beach tints, light ash-colored woods will be hues that define the landscape of the tables and chairs, with pops of color - from warm oranges to garden greens. It is designed with a mixture of light brown tones, warm textures, and natural materials. Open air dining will sprawl the exterior with boxed foliage, enclosing the expanded patio, painting a bright, cheerful sweep across the entire front like a continuous garden party. Burnt orange umbrellas shade the patio and comfy green chairs has diners wanting to stay awhile.
